My expertise

The people around us have more influence on us than we sometimes think

No one lives completely separate from others. From our childhood, we are influenced by the people and the environment around us. This often happens without us even realizing it.
In my coaching, we don’t just look at you as an individual, but also at the various relationships and influences that are part of your life. For example:
  1. Your parents and in-laws.
  2. Your brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
  3. Your extended family and in-laws.
  4. Your friends.
  5. Your colleagues.
  6. Neighbors, school, sports clubs, and your children’s environment.
  7. Your cultural background and the values and norms you grew up with.
All these influences can determine how you think, feel, and make choices. Sometimes these influences are helpful. Sometimes they cause you to constantly adapt yourself.
Together, we’ll map out what’s going on for you. Not to blame others, but to become aware of what influences you. Because as soon as you see what’s happening, space opens up to choose something else.
The umbilical cord dilemma

Staying connected without losing yourself

Letting go and holding on. This is a dilemma many people are familiar with. For expats, it can be even more complicated.
You move to another country and change as a result. At the same time, the people back home remain part of your life.
But how do you stay connected with people who are important to you without losing yourself again?
How much distance do you need?
Where is your boundary?
What does loyalty mean to you?
And when does holding on become something other than being connected?
These aren’t questions with a single right answer. Together, we’ll explore what feels right for you.
